Hi! I’m Chandan Dey. I live at Bongaon, a small town 78 Km. away from Kolkata. Though I am an MBA I love to write poetry, philosophical articles and essays. Even when I write articles on contemporary social issues I try to put philosophical ideas in that.
The society in which we live creates values for us. So, our life cannot become fully meaningful unless we provide values to the society in return through our work.
This natural rule of exchange helps us to define the purpose of our life. As a writer my purpose is to create values for the society through my writings. As a matter of fact, all the individual units of the society are doing the same thing through their work.
For example, a well valued business organization always creates values for the society. Since business is a societal concept, a business institution cannot exist in the social spacetime in the long run without creating values for the society.
Though profit is the food of the business, yet an extra emphasis on this may develop perception gap between business and the customers, which may reduce the life period of the business organization.
In our life we need food to exist. But overeating causes dyspepsia which is harmful to our health and may shorten the span of life.
The organization which does their business with apposite ethics always tries to create values in every sphere of its activities. A business leader who creates values in his life creates values in business too.
We should try to create values through our work so long as we breathe our last. From this idea I have given the title of my website ‘value of life’.
THE EFFECT OF MONEY:
We can create the real value in our life only when we tear the web of illusions that always encircle us. One of the many illusions in our life is money. It is like honey in our life, but one cannot deny its squirminess and mischievousness which often make us go amiss.
Money is essential but cannot be larger than life. We fail to produce value of life when the weight of money becomes more than the values of our life. On the question of money my view is –
When money becomes the leader of us we undergo the grip of greed. The more the grip tightens the more we lose control on our life.
THE EFFECT OF WORK:
Our honest work efforts always help us create values in our life. While we make a productive work we always put some philosophical (P) as well as physical (P) energy in our life’s work variable. These 2Ps produce work synergy and get converted into the energy of development.
So, our developmental energy is nothing but the different form of our work energy. The later remains hidden in the former and vice versa.
The development is the fruits of our work. The value of development which defines the value of life comes at the cost of our work. So, if work is the cause development is the effect.
We work, but return always remains in the hand of God. Hence, unlike a business organization we must not calculate or speculate the amount of probable return against the investment of our work energy. Since future is uncertain all our speculations may be wrong. Even the best of best human predictions may be wide of the mark eventually!
This uncertainty of future sets a work principle for our life –
This work principle elucidates why we come to the earth. This very principle teaches us patience, determination, dedication and devotion. It helps us to define success and failure.
SUCCESS AND FAILURE:
What I believe –
It implies success or failure is the relative effect of our work. They form an up and down wavy line in our life whereas the cause ‘Work’ remains constant with the progress of time. In fact, we cannot abstain from making work as long as we exist on the earth surface.
A man with a mission never thinks in terms of success and failure. They do their work for which they come to the earth; and so they become successful in their life. They are so positively directed that they never deviate from their line of work.

Rather try to become a man of Value
They move ahead toward their mission with great persistence and patience. The work synergy they invest returns a value that benefits the whole world.
